Q:
How long have you been interested in
acting?
A:
When I came home after six years in the Marine Corps in the 1960's, I could not get a decent paying job. I would not go into the "family" business as expected, and took a job as an exterminator, to pay the bills. An exterminator has all doors open to him, some of which are "stage doors" to Broadway theaters. I watched as auditions went on and eventually took my chances with the rest of the people. Incredibly, I did get callbacks, and worked in several "way off" Broadway shows.

How long have you been with MovieWork Now Casting?
A:
For over nine years now. Life on the set is a great experience. You meet new people, see old friends, dress in wardrobe from anytime in the past, present or future and they feed you. In all these years, I have been doing extra work and being fortunate enough to get a part with "meat". I have had so few bad days on the set, they seem to be of no relevance. Good manners, gratitude and respect for the talent (that's us, by the way), is the rule on the set.

Q:
What was the auditioning process for the part?
A:
Gatorade needed physically fit people with knowledge of baseball, who felt comfortable in a stadium setting, and who had that ever-evasive "look". I displayed the enthusiasm of a kid presented with a dream come true...to be in the presence of the pros. "Denial" required an actual character development. The director, RoZe, gave me sides and explained what type of person my role would fill. He gave me the freedom to act. I have learned to be myself, faking it does not work.

Q:
Did you have any experience or training prior to getting the part?
A:
I have had some limited stage performances in my younger years, which got me started. My first experience in film and television was through Movie Work Now Casting. It has been a variety of locations, wardrobes, lines, no lines, weather conditions and knowing to expect the unexpected, i.e., scene changes, etc. In recent years, I have been involved with low budget independent films, and have gained a tremendous amount of experience.
